While making a lake table, I had to protect it from a monsoon storm, so I covered it with a piece of MDF board.

As the board protected the table it absorbed the water and dirt blown in from the storm... the result was a stained and warped piece of wood destined for the scrap heap.

Seeing it on the trash pile as it waited to be hauled away, I decided I wanted to redeem it instead.

I incorporated some scrap cholla skeletons I had from another project along with some papaya seeds I had salvaged... this piece is the result.

Medium: Resin epoxy, cholla skeleton and papaya seeds on 1/2" MDF

    Size: 2' x 4'
